One lone knitted gift made the cut and actually ended up wrapped and under the tree. A simple ribbed hat made with charcoal color bulky yarn made following a free pattern I found on Ravelry.com. It was originally started it with my husband in mind. Once it was finished though, it was just a little too snug for him. But it was perfect for my thirteen year old son.
And he actually wears it! Makes this mom so happy when my kids like and use my handmade gifts. As for my hubby, I have one more skein of the same yarn and might try to make a hat for him by his February birthday.

Such a cool and practical hat! Your son seems to enjoy wearing it. Children really appreciate things that are handmade.
